We met the QR Codes for our first time.
We learned what they were useful for!
Working in the same subject that history: Water pollution because of the Industrial Revolution, we looked for videos and sites.
Then we get into a page on line that let us build QR Codes, and we did some of them.
It was an interesting experience!

Programamos mandalas con Scratch
La palabra tibetana “mandala”,
significa literalmente, “aquello que rodea a un centro”. En este contexto, “un
centro” es un significado, y “aquello que lo rodea”, un mandala, es un símbolo
redondo que representa un significado.
Estamos programando nuestros mandalas en Scratch.

Working on Water Pollution

Talking About Water
Pollution:
Water pollution is when waste,
chemicals, or other particles cause a body of water (i.e. rivers, oceans, lakes) to become harmful
to the fish and animals that need the water to survive. Water pollution
can disrupt and negatively impact nature's water
cycle as well.
A
lot of water pollution comes from human activity. Some human causes include
sewage, pesticides and fertilizers from farms, waste water and chemicals from
factories, silt from construction sites, and trash from people littering.
There
are many sources of water pollution. Here are a few of the major causes:
- Sewage - Even today sewage is flushed directly into streams and rivers in many areas around the world. Sewage can introduce harmful bacteria that can make people and animals very sick.
- Farm animal waste - Waste from large herds of farm animals such as pigs and cows can get into the water supply from the runoff of rain and large storms.
- Pesticides and herbicides - Pesticides are often sprayed on crops to kill bugs and herbicides are sprayed to kill weeds. These strong chemicals can get into the water through runoff of rain storms. They can also contaminate rivers and lakes through accidental spills.
- Construction, floods, and storms - Silt from construction, earthquakes, floods, and storms can lower the oxygen content in the water and suffocate fish.
- Factories - Factories often use a lot of water to process chemicals, keep engines cool, and for washing things away. The used waste water is sometimes dumped into rivers or the ocean. It can be full of pollutants.

Ciudadanía digital
¿Qué es ser un ciudadano digital?
¿Sobre qué temas debería saber para
ser un buen ciudadano digital?
Nos hicimos estas preguntas en la clase de hoy, aprendiendo de esta forma que:
Ser un ciudadano digital es ser responsable en nuestras búsquedas, citando las fuentes del material extraído de internet.
También es muy importante en este concepto el respeto mutuo en tanto y en cuanto, somos partes de redes sociales que caracterizan nuestro comportamiento en la red.
Debería tener conocimientos de cómo buscar en internet exhaustivamente, un manejo adecuado de la computadora y saber comportarme en una red social.

You will have to make a presentation in PowerPoint, in English, introducing yourself to other classmates.
The Process:
- You can work in groups of two, but each one of you have to make your own presentation. You can work cooperatively.
- The PowerPoint presentation must have 3 or 4 slides.
- You must use English language for your presentation.
Steps:
- You have to take a digital photography of yourself to include in the first slide and save it in the folder that your teachers will tell you.
- In the next slides you will have to describe:
- Your favourite meals
- Your favourite music and
- Your favourite actor/actress.
